Hugh Jackman Sends a Musical Thank You to His 'Greatest Showman' Family

“This Is Me,” the standout number from The Greatest Showman, is up for Best Original Song at the 2018 Oscars and ahead of Sunday’s event, Hugh Jackman had a message for his cast and team from the film.

Out for a stroll on his bicycle, Jackman pulled over to tell all of the actors and staff on the movie how grateful he was. “I just want to say how grateful I am to [song writers] Justin and Benji, Pasek and Paul, for writing the most beautiful music and lyrics,” he said, and adding that he wishes the duo “every success” at the Oscars.

Jackman also gave a shout out to Keala Settle, who sings “This Is Me” in the film. “To Keala, who sings that title song, and who will be singing at the Oscars, I love you.” Towards the end of his thank you, the actor burst into a little song, singing, “A billion streams is all it’s gonna take.”

Along with Settle’s performance, other performers at the 90th Oscars will include Mary J. Blige, Common, Andra Day, Gael Garcia Bernal, Miguel, Natalia Lafourcade and Sufjan Stevens.

Blige, who’s also nominated for Best Actress in a Supporting Role, will perform “Mighty River” from Mudbound, while Common and Andra will tackle “Stand Up for Something” from Marshall. Bernal, Lafourcade and Miguel will also perform the beautiful “Remember Me” from Coco and Stevens will sing “Mystery of Love” from Call Me by Your Name.
